QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY
The management of FUNDACIÓN ECOLEC, in its desire to guarantee its services and to offer its customers a service for the:
ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF INTEGRATED WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
With a view to providing on-going quality improvements, and also aware of the importance of the environment and the potentially damaging effects of hazardous and urban solid waste, it has established the QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY set out in this document.
The Quality and Environmental Management Policy guides us in our commitment to collaborate to maintaining and improving natural and energy resources by collecting, treating and managing waste electrical and electronic equipment, with a view to improving public health and environmental conditions.
To ensure that all our activities conform to our Quality and Environmental Management policy, the management of the ECOLEC Foundation has defined and implemented a Quality and Environmental Management System in conformity with UNE-EN ISO 9001: “Sistemas de Gestión de la Calidad. Requisitos” (Quality Management Systems. Requirements) and the UNE EN ISO 14001: “Sistemas de Gestión Medioambiental. Especificaciones y Directrices para su utilización” (Quality management systems. Specifications and Guidelines for Use) standards. This Quality and Environmental Management System is applicable to all the foundation's activities at its site at C/ Agustín de Betancourt, 21. 7PL Despacho 717.
The ECOLEC Foundation's Quality and Environmental Management Policy based on the following commitments:
1. The commitment to comply with all legal, contractual and other requirements applicable to us as a result of our activity, both as regards the provision of our services and the environmental effects of our activities, such that under no circumstances does our activity contravene the legal and other requirements of public authorities.
2. The commitment to carry out our work in a management environment which guarantees continuous improvement to our processes, operating methods and dealings with stakeholders, by establishing and regularly reviewing our quality and environmental goals.
3. The commitment to protect the environment and our surroundings, through actions and measures designed to prevent any type of contamination potentially caused by our operations, due to our own activities or those of our subcontractors.
4. The commitment to promoting a wider knowledge and understanding of the environmental management and quality policy within our organisation, through on-going training and communication with our employees.
5. The commitment to publicising and promoting a culture of sustainable development concerning electrical and electronic equipment.
6. The commitment to controlling all our processes effectively, placing special emphasis on:
• Monitoring hauliers and waste managers
• Encouraging the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment
• Monitoring and tracking waste electrical and electronic equipment
7. The commitment to disclose our quality and environmental management policy and make this available to all interested parties for their information.
